The hulking karkadann is a mythical creature born of the earth. When a spanse of desert, grassland, or steppe has been marred by war, plundered of its natural resources, or tainted by a curse, a karkadann might appear to rid the land of evil (and everything else as well). Extremely territorial and belligerent, karkadann refuse to share their habitat with any creature large enough to attract attention.
